Out numbered by Design in a predominantly African American Community....

No Diversity Here

When I walk past this school in my neighborhood the white people drive by with their windows rolled up...they don't say hello.... the students don't speak and act like they are afraid to even look at me....

I am asking for the power to change the ratio of students at our once "Cooly High" all black school where a large of our current community leaders attended school....


Miller South is named in honor of Akron's first African-American principal, George C. Miller, the building was renamed George C. Miller South Education Center...this school is our "Cooley High" I want to know how many African American students are currently attending this school? 

They celebrated 20 years in Jan 2013....Margo Snider was mean and tried to turn my daughter into someone she was not... and my girls had to audition to get in. 

Currently the students travel from areas outside of Akron as far as the Kent, Twinsburg, Black River and Wadsworth school districts to attend Miller South...how can this school be in the middle of an African American neighborhood as a gem in the community and not have at lease 1/3 to 1/2 African American students? It this by design? Currently a whopping 76% of the students are white....this is a black eye for the community ...

This is not Diversity! Clearly the plans for our community did not include us!
